Spotify has no version history. One wrong tap, a misbehaving app, or a hijacked account can wipe out years of curation. We keep snapshots so you can always go back.

Before you connect.
What gets backed up?
Playlists you own or collaborate on and, on Premium, your Liked Songs. For each one we save its name, description, cover image link and the full ordered track list: every track and artist, plus the date it was added.
We do not store audio, your listening history, podcasts or albums you follow, or playlists you only follow (someone else’s curation).
How often are backups taken?
Free: whenever you press "Back up now" (at most once every 10 minutes), for up to 3 playlists you pick.
Premium: automatically once a day at a fixed hour assigned to your account (the dashboard shows when), plus on demand.
How long do you keep my history?
Once a day we remove backup runs older than 7 days (Free) or 30 days (Premium). A snapshot is deleted only once no remaining run points at it.
Your most recent successful (or partly successful) run is never removed, however old it is, so you can never come back to an empty archive. And every run points at the last good snapshot of every playlist it covers, so keeping that one run keeps a copy of everything.
What if I delete a playlist on Spotify?
It moves to "Deleted on Spotify" in your dashboard. We keep its last snapshot for 90 days after we last saw it, on every plan, so you can restore it.
How does restoring work?
Restoring always creates a new private playlist with the snapshot's tracks, in their original order. Your existing playlists are never edited.
Local files and tracks Spotify has removed from its catalog cannot be re-added; we tell you how many were skipped. Liked Songs restore as a playlist.
